Effective March 6, 2017, the HRVHS daily schedule will be 8:20 a.m. to 3:18 p.m.
We will gain an additional 8 minutes per day of instructional times. This is one of the ways HRCSD is utilizing to make up the instructional time lost because of the high number of school cancellations due to the weather. This daily schedule change, coupled with the elimination of Monday morning late starts, beginning March 6 thru the end of the school year, and the added days of February 27, April 10 and June 14, 15, and 16, will ensure that our students get the instructional time they need and deserve. Please see the link, below to see the updated calendar. New bell schedules can be found at this link. Note that there is no zero period on Mondays.
Elementary schools will be 7:40 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. (5 additional minutes per day)
Middle Schools will be 8:30 a.m. to 3:36 p.m. (6 additional minutes per day)
The last day of school for all students (except seniors) will be Friday, June 16th. The last day for high school seniors is June 8, 2017. Graduation will be held, as planned, on June 9, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.
The bus schedules will change accordingly. Please check this link after March 3rd, for updated bus routes: Transportation Information
Reminder: Smarter Balanced Testing will begin on April 6th, 2017. Our teachers work to prepare students for this assessment that is linked to the common core state standards. This assessment also provides an opportunity for high school students to meet their essential skill requirement in English, Writing, and Math. Parents who are interested in opting their child out of the state test can learn more about the state requirements by clicking here or here for Spanish. And please check with your child's school counselor for more information about graduation requirements.
