Our mission is to provide a quality education that allows each child to achieve academic success within a safe, disciplined, and respectful environment. Students work toward becoming life-long learners: competent, productive citizens, contributing to their diverse community.  We recognize that to help our students maximize their potential, we must:
 
  • Provide a well trained staff and utilize current and effective instructional methods and strategies,
  • Nurture a working partnership with parents and community,
  • Promote a coherent, standards based curriculum, which addresses the maturational and social-emotional needs of students, as well as the cultural diversity of students in our school.

  • 02-22-17 - Last Late Start Monday Reminder

    This is a reminder that there will be school on Monday, February 27th for all students.  It is a Monday Morning Late start, so schools will start at the following times:

    • Elementary Schools - 8:40AM
    • Middle Schools - 9:25 AM
    • High School - 9:20 AM

    This is the last Monday Late Start for the remainder of the school year.  This is so that students can make up some of the missed instructional time because of the weather-related school closures and delays.

    Este es un recordatorio de que habrá escuela el lunes 27 de febrero para todos los estudiantes. Es un lunes de Comienzo Tarde, así que las escuelas comenzarán en los siguientes horarios:

    • Escuelas Primarias - 8:40AM
    • Escuelas Secundarias - 9:25 AM
    • Preparatoria - 9:20 AM

    Este es el último lunes de Comienzo Tarde por el resto del año escolar. Esto es para que los estudiantes puedan compensar parte del tiempo de instrucción perdido debido a los cierres y retrasos de la escuela relacionados con el clima.

    There is more wintry weather forecasted in the near future.  The Hood River County School District has three ways to address student safety when the road conditions worsen. 

    They are:

  • The Hood River County Education Foundation is providing financial assistance to low income families through the Opportunity Campaign Fund.  Students on free or reduced lunch will automatically be eligible to receive assistance, but students must register and have a sports physical to participate.  You must have a sports physical before you can participate.  http://hoodriver-ar.rschooltoday.com  To get a sports physical, parents are encouraged to contact your family physician.  If you do not have a family physician, contact One Community Health at 541-386-6380 for an appointment.  Parents who wish to be reimbursed for the sports physical can return the receipt to the school office.
