Hood River Middle School
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a quality education that allows each child to achieve academic success within a safe, disciplined, and respectful environment. Students work toward becoming life-long learners: competent, productive citizens, contributing to their diverse community.  We recognize that to help our students maximize their potential, we must:
  • Provide a well trained staff and utilize current and effective instructional methods and strategies,
  • Nurture a working partnership with parents and community,
  • Promote a coherent, standards based curriculum, which addresses the maturational and social-emotional needs of students, as well as the cultural diversity of students in our school.

  • The Hood River County Education Foundation is providing financial assistance to low income families through the Opportunity Campaign Fund.  Students on free or reduced lunch will automatically be eligible to receive assistance, but students must register and have a sports physical to participate.  You must have a sports physical before you can participate.  http://hoodriver-ar.rschooltoday.com  To get a sports physical, parents are encouraged to contact your family physician.  If you do not have a family physician, contact One Community Health at 541-386-6380 for an appointment.  Parents who wish to be reimbursed for the sports physical can return the receipt to the school office.
