Snap & Read (a Don Johnston product) provides a toolkit for students who want to access their educational materials through alternative means. Below are a few tips on using Snap & Read in the HRCSD. Features include OCR (optical character recognition), Text to Speech, translation, and annotation.

Tips and Tricks

• Open a PDF in Google Classroom and push it into Snap & Read
  
  • In Google Classroom, click on the PDF
  • Click on the ellipsis () in the upper right-hand corner & click on Öpen in New Window". This will open the PDF in Safari.
  • Click on the download button () to download the pdf onto the iPad.
  • Click the action button (). Click on Snap & Read in the drop-down menu.
  • Click on "Copy to Snap&Read".
