Free and Reduced Meals Program
Dear Parent/Guardian: (en español)
Children need healthy meals to learn. Hood River County School District offers healthy meals every school day.
Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. Students in all grade levels from pre-K through high school are eligible to receive free or reduced-price meal benefits, if your family meets the income guidelines or if you receive SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly Food Stamps) or TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) benefits. Students who are eligible for free and reduced-price meals may also be eligible to receive fee reductions or waivers for other services if you date, sign and submit the "Permission to Share" form with your application.
If your child attends Parkdale or Cascade Locks Elementary, you do NOT need to submit a free or reduced-price meal application. These two schools are Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools and qualify for free meals. However, members of a household attending a Hood River County school not participating in CEP will need to complete a new meal application for the new school year.
Reduced price is .00 for breakfast and .00 for lunch.
