• 7th Grade FACS
    7th grade students will continue their
    Integrated System Design studies while
    diving deeper into skill sets associated with
    greenhouse operation, aquaculture, energy
    production and conservation, perennial and
    annual food systems, green business
    development, marketing, and appropriate
    technology. Students will be able to pursue
    areas of interest at deeper levels after
    demonstrating basic skills. Students will
    increase cooking and food preservation
    skills. Students will include the science of
    nutrition into menu planning and
    preservation techniques. Students will
    explore the concept of season extension in
    local food production. Links will be built to
    support 7th Grade Core Content Standards in
    Science and Math and students will use
    applied math and reading skills to solve real
    world problems.
