8th Grade FACS students will continue to use the Greenhouse, LEED Platinum Music and Science Center, and the student Food Lab to pursue ideas centered around Sustainability and Environmental Engineering. This 18 week class will have distinct sections including:Plant PropagationGreenSTEM EngineeringCultural CookingGreen Building and Natural Building8th Grade students will develop and build new installations into the existing system they have spent the last 2 years operating. Students will plan, research, design, budget and construct projects working with small teams. Students will lead tours for students and adults visiting our project and will be developing a web page and video segments to show off their work. Students will receive training to attain their Food Handlers Card from County Health officials and will run a number of cafes and food events for the public.
