• Position 4 - Julia Garcia-Ramirez

    Julia Garcia-Ramirez Julia Garcia-Ramirez is originally from Mexico City; she moved to the United States in 2003 following her mother and brother who decided to move to Virginia State. It was her husband Manuel who brought her to Hood River when they got married in 2005. Julia has an 11 year old son named Julio and two step children. She strongly believes on advocating and supporting the children and families of the Hood River County. As a bilingual professional Julia is very excited about representing the Odell community on the HRCSD Board of Directors.

    Professionally, Julia holds a Law degree from Mexico City that unfortunately couldn't validate here in the Unites States, but this didn't stop her from pursuing higher education in this country too. Julia has a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education Administration. She works for Mid-Columbia Children's Council, Inc. as the program's ERSEA Coordinator. Ever since she moved to Hood River she has been keenly working with children and families from the Hood River, Odell, and Pine Grove area.

    As a parent of school age children and a member of the community, Julia has a great interest in education and the success of the students from the Hood River County School District. In her time off Julia likes to spend time with her family traveling, going fishing, swimming, playing tennis, gardening, shopping, etc.
