Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Chance

My husband (Steve) and I moved our family from Spokane to Hood River in 1992. All four of our now “twenty something” children;  Daniel, David, Tim and Jill grew up attending Westside, HRMS and HRVHS where they participated in year round sports and were fortunate to have amazing teachers along with a multitude of opportunities to be involved in their communities. Steve and I are both local educators and we appreciate the foundation that Hood River gave our kids.

I have been employed by the HRCSD since 1995. Before that I held several positions as a Speech-Language Pathologist (Supervisor of SLP’s - ESD, Communication Disorders Specialist - Spokane School District, Clinical Supervisor and Lecturer - EWU and WSU, SLP - Neurologically Impaired/Intellectually Delayed).  I have learned from and loved each opportunity, but am delighted to have the best job in the world at this point in my career!

When not busy working I enjoy relaxing with a great book, sharing meals with family and friends, walking, working out, watching football and basketball (Go Dawgs! Go Ducks!), and traveling as much as possible (especially to Guatemala and Belize).
