    pugging clay
A huge thank you to Hood River Heritage Cultural Foundation and Hood River Education Foundation for funding a new Shimpo pug mill for the Ceramics room!  This is a big piece of equipment kind of like a large sausage grinder that enables us to recycle our used clay so that it can be reused!  This greatly reduces waste and costs because we end up with thousands of pounds more useable clay and it's a critical piece of equipment for a high volume clay program like ours!
