• Recent research indicates, online learning is a promising and cost-effective support for Hood River County students and educators by:
     
    • Providing effective and rigorous instruction to meet the unique educational needs of  students as well as addressing issues such as challenges for advanced students, expanding learning options to improve student engagement, and instruction that will impede possible disrupted enrollment
    • Supporting another option for students to develop "21st Century Skills" such as using technology and time management skills
    • Providing expanded ways to access courses for college and career prep, AP classes, and credit recovery for students needing a flexible schedule
    • Blended or hybrid online models, which includes both online and traditional coursework, can support improved student learning outcomes
