The OEBB provides health insurance for benefits-eligible employees and retirees of Hood River County School District. Log in to OEBBenroll.com or MyOEBB to:- Enroll for benefits as a newly hired employee
- Review your current benefit selections
- Review and update your personal information
- Enroll in or make changes to your benefit selections during Open Enrollment

- Frequently Asked Questions
- Who can I cover on my medical, dental, and vision insurance? You may cover your spouse or domestic partner; your dependent children, stepchildren, domestic partner's children, adopted children and other dependent children related to you (e.g., grandchildren). If you or your spouse/partner are not the biological parent, you must provide custody or legal documents showing proof of adoption, legal guardianship or other court order. Eligible dependent children may be covered until the end of the month in which they turn 26 years of age.
- When can I change health insurance plans? You may change health insurance plans during Open Enrollment only. Open Enrollment is from August 15 to September 9 each year, with changes effective October 1.
- When can I add or drop dependents to my medical, dental or vision insurance? You may drop dependents at Open Enrollment or with a qualified status change (such as a divorce or child turning 26). The change will become effective the first of the month following the qualified status change. You may add dependents when first enrolling in benefits as a new employee, during Open Enrollment, or within 31 days of a qualified status change (such as marriage, birth, adoption or loss of other coverage). You will need to complete a Mid-Year Change Form to add or drop dependents. Please contact a payroll and benefits specialist if you have a qualified status change.

Individual Health Reimbursement Account (HRA VEBA) Plan
The HRA VEBA is an individual health reimbursement arrangement account available to classified and confidential employee groups and to benefits-eligible employees who opt out of the District's medical plan. Employee Assistance Program
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services through Uprise Health include counseling, 24-hour crisis support, work-life resources that can help you solve problems and balance your life. As an OEBB member, there is no cost to you or your family members for using EAP services. To access services, go online to https://members.uprisehealth.com/ (Access Code: OEBB).
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
As part of the employee benefit package, the District offers a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) through Diversified Benefit Services for 9/1/2022 - 9/30/2023, which can help you offset the cost of medical and child care. Who is Paid Leave Oregon for and how does it work?
Paid Leave Oregon is a new program that allows individuals to take paid time off for many of life’s most important moments that impact our families and our health and safety. Paid Leave Oregon is paid for by employers and employees. Employers pay 40% and employees pay 60% of the contribution rate, which is 1 percent for 2023.
