The 2020 Migrant Summer School Program was one of the most challenging and fullfilling ever. The 15 day program served nearly 80 students on campus and nearly 30 through our online learning program. The students and staff who participated on campus were faced with daunting health and safety protocols but nothing got in the way of learning. It was truly a pleasure to see students back in person, despite the necessary precautions. Students participated in math and reading activities with a travel theme. Teachers incorporated maps, meals and virtual field trips to their instruction, making for an exiting "vacation." The culminating "parent night parking lot party" featured information from the superintendent regarding options for the start of school, dinner, grocery give-aways and luau themed prizes.
