The Hood River County Library has many resources for children and family interests - ebooks, educational and engaging videos for children, free access and additional resources they recommend. Check out the website for more information such as storytime on the Hood River County Library District Facebook page or visiting the Lending Library on AGA Road at the entrance to the Odell Mobile Park from 10am to noon on Saturdays.

Looking for where to go, what to do, and how to do it? Hood River Parks and Recreation District can point you to fun places to play, meet, and learn, and it has something for everyone. This website will give you additional information about all of the parks in the county.

Hood River Aquatic Center teaches life-saving swimming skills and knowing what to do if you get “in over your head.” From being fearful of going underwater to swimming laps, the aquatic center goes out of its way to be confidence-inspiring. The Next Door, Inc. family programs are designed to help parents navigate the challenges of being a parent and build safe, healthy relationships where all feel valued. Swindells Resource Center supports parents and caregivers of children who have special health, behavioral or developmental needs. It provides video resources, information, and education to communities throughout Oregon and southwest Washington.
