Migrant Education

The migrant education program aims to ensure equitable educational opportunities for every migrant education student to amplify their highest academic, social, and personal success.

Hood River County School District offers a federally funded Title 1-C Migrant Education Program for families who move frequently to work in agriculture, fishing, and forestry. The program's goal is to help migrant students overcome problems that result from repeated moves and interrupted education.

Academic assistance is provided to students through extended days and extended-year opportunities. Additionally, all eligible migrant students receive 24-hour accident insurance and free nutrition services at school.
