My husband and I live in White Salmon with our two cats Holly & Fox. I enjoy gardening, hiking, swimming, painting and cooking with friends. Originally from CA, I met my husband while we were working as archaeologists for the BLM on the Grand Staircase Escalante in Southern Utah. We relocated to the Columbia Gorge 9 years ago and I began pursuing my masters in Education. The rest is history!  I hold B.A. degree in Anthropology, a minor in Studio Art, a masters in K-8th Education and I am currently pursuing my English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teaching endorsement through OSU's graduate school.

In my classroom I make learning fun with interactive manipulatives, music, movement and standards-based content that keeps my students engaged. I encourage students to work in leveled learning groups at their own pace so they can fully understand concepts and material based on their learning level. I include curriculum-based activities that help students build important critical thinking and problem solving skills. I believe in educating the whole child.
