Ms. Albrecht

My name is Ms. Albrecht (all-breck-t).  I am so very excited to be working for HROA this year!  This is my second year working in Hood River, but it will be my 15th year of teaching.  I have spent the last four years working with online and school-at-home students in K-8th grades in Morrow and Hood River Counties.  I LOVE working with online students.  My passions are creating life-long learners and trying to reach all of my students in the way that they learn best.  I look forward to working with HR students again this year!
 
As for my background...I have spent most of my life in The Dalles.  Graduated from Eastern Oregon University with my AA, BA, and Masters.  I moved back to The Dalles a year ago to be closer to my mom and my two grown kids who also live in The Dalles.  I love my dog, Max, and my adorable cats, Marco, Mia, and Gus.  I also have two grand-kitties.  When I am not enjoying family, then I can usually be found using power tools.  I love turning pens (on a lathe) and this summer I also discovered a love for making end-grain cutting boards...plus any other crafty or home improvement project that I can work into my life.
