I began my special education teaching career in 1998. I have taught for Beaverton School District, Gresham-Barlow School District, David Douglas School District, and currently Hood River County School District.
My family moved to Hood River in 2016. After a two-year break from education, I began at Westside Elementary as an instructional assistant at the same time our son started Kindergarten. The positive and professional environment I experienced at Westside motivated me to apply for a position to cover maternity leave for the learning specialist in 2020. I was honored to be offered the job. Jump ahead two years and I am continuing to job share as a learning specialist at Westside.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family planning for adventures, hiking, camping, biking, skiing, exploring unknown roads/places, and spending time in one of our favorite places outside of the Columbia Gorge, Montana.
