I grew up in Indonesia and moved to The Dalles in elementary school. In Middle School, my family relocated to Hood River and I graduated from HRVHS in 2011. I studied History at PSU and got the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Istanbul, Turkey. During my last term of college, I remodelled a food cart. I called it Noodle Heaven and served Indonesian-inspired cuisine for 3 years. 10% of our profits supported a non-profit organization in Indonesia. During college and "the food cart years", I returned to Indonesia as often as I could to teach or lead medical trips into remote areas of the eastern islands. After selling Noodle Heaven, I was preparing to move to Australia in order to be closer to Indonesia and increase my commitment there, when the pandemic hit. I used the down-time during the pandemic to go back to school and get my MBA, and worked as a teacher at schools in Portland and the Columbia Gorge. I fell in love with teaching, got married, and decided that supporting the kids in my local community as they discovered their passions and pursued their dreams was my mission.
