How do I apply for a job?
Submit a complete application and upload all necessary supporting documentation to apply for a position with HRCSD. Job listing and applications are found here:

What documentation is needed to complete my online application?
Licensed positions require the following:

Letter of Interest written to the hiring administrator

Current Resume

Three (3) recents letters of recommendation

Copy of your Oregon Teaching License, proof of licensure or the ability to readily obtain the license. Official college transcripts wil be required upon hire.

What is E-verify and how does HRCSD use it when hiring?
E-verify is a web-based system that determines employees’ eligibility to work in the United States. Upon submitting all documents required for hire, all applicants will be entered into the E-verify system.

What happens after I submit my application? What is the status of my application?
To be considered for any/all openings, submit your completed application with all corresponding documents uploaded. Continue to check our website and apply for positions to keep your application current. You will receive a confirmation email from Human Resources when your application is submitted.

Will I be contacted for a job interview?
After all applications are reviewed, hiring administrators will contact the candidates they are interested in interviewing. It is important your contact information is correct.

Does HRCSD require pre-employment drug tests?
Yes, we require all candidates to submit to a drug test within 48 hours of the employment offer.

I have submitted an application, but have not heard back. Who should I contact?
All applicants will be notified that their application has been received. The hiring administrator will notify you via email or phone if you are going to be interviewed.

Can I apply via email, fax, mail or by directly contacting the Human Resources Department?
Hood River County School District accepts applications through our electronic application system - TalentED. If you do not have internet access, please come to the Human Resources office at 1011 Eugene Street. We have a public computer for you to use.

How frequently do you update the job postings?
We update our job postings very often. If the job posting is on our website, then we are still accepting applications for the position. Postings are removed once a job has been filled.

If I am a current district employee, do I have to use the electronic application system?
No, you can simply submit a letter of interest via email to the hiring administrator. Please copy the Human Resources office at human.resources@hoodriver.k12.or.us

Can I update an application once it has been submitted?
No. You will have to notify us at human.resources@hoodriver.k12.or.us. We will instruct you from there.

If I don’t have the college credits necessary to apply for an Instructional Assistant or ParaProfessional position, are there any alternative methods to meet this requirement?
Yes. You can take the ParaPro Assessment.
