Hood River Valley High School

I was born in Long Beach, California in 1967. My family and I moved to Hood River, Oregon in 1979 and I graduated from Hood River Valley High School in 1985. I worked for the Amnesty Program as signed by President Ronald Reagan in 1986 helping families to get their US citizenship. I attended Oregon State University in Corvallis (Go BEAVS!) and graduated from Western Oregon State College (Go WOLVES!) in 1990 with degrees in Secondary Education and Spanish. I worked at Chenowith M.S. & Wahtonka H.S. in The Dalles, at Ockley Green M.S. & Jefferson H.S. in Northeast Portland, at Woodburn H.S., and I have been at Hood River Valley High School since 1999. It is my honor to work with our students and families here in Hood River. 

 

Yo nací en Long Beach, California en 1967. Mi familia y yo nos mudamos a Hood River, Oregon en 1979 y me gradué de Hood River Valley High School en 1985. Trabajé en el Programa de amnistía del Presidente Ronald Reagan en 1986 a ayudarles a las familias a conseguir su ciudadanía. Asistí a clases en Oregon State University en Corvallis (¡Vamos, Castores!) y me gradué de Western Oregon State College (¡Adelante, Los Lobos!) en 1990 con títulos en la educación secundaria y el español. Trabajé en Chenowith Middle School y Wahtonka High School en The Dalles, en Ockley Green Middle School y Jefferson High School en el noreste de Portland, en Woodburn High School, y he enseñado aquí desde 1999. Es un honor trabajar de nuevo con los estudiantes y sus familias aquí en Hood River.
