Welcome to my home page! I am excited to have this venue to communicate to all my students and parents. We have many new productions on board for the year, and the student directors are busy selecting their plays (hint hint) for the One Acts Festival in May. We are in deep into the rehearsal period for the upcoming Fall Musical "Newsies." This challenging and popular musical will delight audiences of all ages. The Spring Play is "Radium Girls" and is a fastpaced comedy/drama, the style of production that ticks off all my boxes as a director.I will once again be taking over the Artistic Director label with my theatrical troupe, "Phoenix Theatre" which will be back as a class this year (it too can be taken for college credit as well as Theatre III/IV).  We plan on a January childrens play with this popular group!

Some dates to look forward to-

    Fall Production - Oct. 25,26, Nov 1,2,9,10 at 7pm Oct. 27, Nov.3 at 2pm - Newsies

Phoenix Theatre Children's Production - January TBA

Spring Production - April 3,5(m)10,11,12(m)17,18 - Radium Girls

Student Production - May 1,2 - Student Directed One Acts Festival

Tickets for both productions can be purchased either at Waucoma Bookstore in downtown Hood River or at the door. We are currently getting our online ticket service up and running so look for that in the upcoming weeks. Our productions often sell out so it is advisable to purchase in advance. We have adaptive technology for the hearing impaired so please come to our shows!

Phoenix Theatre will also have numerous performances at all the elementary schools as well as festivals and market appearances.

Please note you can earn college credit through the Dual Enrollment program offered through Columbia Gorge Community College. Dual enrollment is a terrific way to earn college credit while still at the high school. Students in Theatre III/IV (T.A. 141), Phoenix Theatre (or perform in the musical or winter play (speaking part only T.A. 180A) have this opportunity.  Please see me if you have questions.
