Outdoor School is almost here! Wy’east is excited to be partnering with OMSI Outdoor School Program for the first time this year. Our Wy’east staff along with HRVHS volunteers will be on site along with OMSI staff to create an amazing outdoor science learning experience. We are really looking forward to the adventure ahead!
· Permission Slip – Completed forms can be turned into the office or homeroom teacher.
· Medication Forms - Everyone needs to complete the medical form. STUDENTS MAY NOT TAKE ANY MEDICATION ON THEIR OWN WHILE UP AT OUTDOOR SCHOOL. This includes medicine such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Claritin, Benadryl, or any other medication that they take as needed. Staff will keep and distribute all medication based on the directions you provide. Please deliver the medication to the school office in the original container and placed in a ziploc bag with your child’s name written on the outside of the bag. Call the school if you need more forms or have questions.
· Packing List: If there is anything on the list that you do not already have, please check with the school as we may have extra items available to use.
Thank you to those of you who have already turned your forms and $35 fee to the office. There is no need to complete another form at this time. Please use this additional copy for your reference or recycle it.
Outdoor school is an integral part of your child’s 6th grade experience. We strive to have every learner attend, however, it is also the expectation that each attendee is safe, respectful, and responsible during this learning opportunity. If your 6th grade student has struggled with meeting our Wy’east Code of Conduct this year, we will be in touch with you to set up a clear behavior expectations to uphold between now and then to let us know they are ready to participate responsibly in Outdoor School 2018.
While at Outdoor School, students are not allowed to have cell phones or other electronic devices. If you need to contact your student while they are at Outdoor School, please call the school. We will be in communication with them on a regular basis.
Again, please call if you should need further information.
