Third grade students from across the county enjoyed a field trip to the Hood River Valley High School Land Lab, where they learned about agriculture and its importance in our every day lives. High school FFA members did an amazing job of sharing their knowledge with eager third graders, who seemed to love everything from the petting zoo to the hay ride. Thank you high school students and FFA advisors for a fun-filled day!

Red Tail Hawk Release
Ron Kikel from the Forest Service came to our school to release a hawk that had been rehabilitated at the Rowena Wildlife Clinic http://www.rowenawildlifeclinic.org/. The Hawk was found in Odell and had been shot with a shot gun. He had numerous pellets in his neck and head and had a broken wing. After two months he was ready to fly free and it was spectacular to watch him fly away!
