Bill Newton

Bill Newton brings a wealth of experience to his role as superintendent of Hood River County School District. Before assuming the superintendent role, Newton served as the curriculum and instruction coordinator, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

Newton's extensive background as a principal and educator, both locally and internationally, uniquely positions him to understand and address the diverse needs of Hood River County students and the community. His vision is centered on fostering strong collaboration with staff and partnering closely with families to ensure every student receives the support they need to graduate with the knowledge and courage to learn, serve, and pursue their dreams.

Newton holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Oregon State College and a Master of Science degree from Portland State University. He has also completed the Oregon Continuing Administrative License Program at Portland State University, showcasing his dedication to professional growth and development.
