HRCSD seeks input from families on proposed Social Studies instructional materials for grades 6-12

Hood River County School District is seeking input from families on proposed Social Studies materials for grades K-12.

The selection committee has been working since October to find instructional materials that align with equitable Social Studies teaching practices and the new Oregon State Standards. Teacher teams from across the district have been working hard to investigate new and innovative Social Studies materials.  The committee is determined to find engaging materials that support the Social Studies Standards while also offering student-centered, relevant content.

The committee will make its recommendation after closely reviewing the materials, meeting with publishers, and gathering student and community feedback.
