Jacqueline Osborn is the lucky winner of a brand-new car in a raffle organized by the Hood River County Education Foundation and sponsored by Columbia Gorge Toyota. The raffle, which took place in the Columbia Gorge region, was part of an annual fundraising effort to benefit local schools and students.
Columbia Gorge Toyota has generously donated a new Toyota for the raffle for the past two years, with the goal of supporting educational programs. The Hood River County Education Foundation manages the raffle, distributing tickets to school groups, sports teams, and PTOs. This year, the raffle raised nearly $28,000 to support various student activities and programs. The boys wrestling team from Hood River Valley High School emerged as the top seller, raising almost $7,000 for their program.
Interestingly, both this year’s and last year’s raffle winners were connected to Mid Valley Elementary School, further strengthening the bond between local schools and community supporters. In The Dalles, local organizations also participated by selling raffle tickets.
Looking ahead, Columbia Gorge Toyota has announced its continued support of the event by planning to donate a 2025 vehicle for next year's raffle. Community members are encouraged to keep an eye out for ticket sales from local school groups and help support the Hood River County Education Foundation’s mission of enhancing education opportunities for students.
