The 2022-23 application for free and reduced-priced meals is now available and can be submitted anytime for next school year. There are two options to complete an application for free meals, either online or with a paper application.
- The online application is the preferred method and can be found at this link (https://family.titank12.com/?identifier=E899E5)
- Paper applications are also available. See attached versions in Spanish and English. This application is also available in many other languages, if needed.
As a reminder, all students at May Street Elementary, Westside Elementary, HRMS, Hood River Options, and HRVHS will return to paid status, if they do not complete an application for free school meals or qualify through another income-based program, such as SNAP.
Oregon recently expanded income guidelines to qualify for free meals, which means that many more households will qualify than prior to the pandemic. Hood River County School District encourages all families to complete an application this year, regardless of whether they feel like they might qualify. Families with students at schools receiving free meals at Mid Valley Elementary, Parkdale Elementary, Cascade Locks Elementary, and Wy'east Middle may also not understand that they still need to submit an application for free meals for a student at the high school.
Lastly, all outstanding student meal debt has been erased and all students will start the year with a zero- (or positive carryover) balance, thanks in part to a generous donation from the Hood River Elks Club.
